In spite of this, Taylor and Burton remarried the next year in 1975, only to go through another divorce within a year as Burton left her after becoming involved with a young model. This time, the divorce was finalized in 1976.
Taylor was devastated, so she retreated to a hotel room and buried herself in food and booze to numb the sorrow of her loss, which ultimately led to her gaining 50 pounds.
