A spoiler is coming up! Caution is advised if you haven’t seen the first episode of the second season of And Just Like That on Max.

And just like that, we’re up and running again! Max’s Sex and the City spinoff series, And Just Like That, has returned for a second season following the highly-discussed first season in 2021. This is the case regardless of whether you like watching it or enjoy watching it just to despise it.

There was no Big loss or horrific funerals in the first two episodes, but there were still plenty of gasp-worthy moments. These moments were almost solely oriented upon the relationship between Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez). The first two episodes were published on Thursday by the streaming service.

The first segment of the first episode of the program was a sensual montage featuring all of our favorite characters, both new and old, getting it on to the tune of Elton John and Britney Spears’s “Hold Me Closer.”

Miranda is relishing her newfound independence and proclaiming, “new me, best me ever!” after calling off her marriage to Steve Brady (played by David Eigenberg) and turning down an offer for an internship.

During her time with Che, the once successful attorney is discovering her sexuality in various ways, including stripping naked in sensory deprivation tanks and wearing strap-on bras. The woman who used to be in charge of a large company is now a cast member on the reality television show The Real Housewives of Los Angeles, and it does not seem that she has even a trace of the charisma she formerly had.

Nixon, on the other hand, is not shy about exposing her body in her act, offering what is likely the most physically revealing performance of anybody else on the evening.

Nixon said in a recent interview with ET that in regards to displaying flesh, “I feel like I was always fairly game for it.” People having sex, including people having fantastic sex, people having bad sex, and people having funny sex are just some of the topics that are covered on the program.

But more than taking off their clothes, Carrie and the rest of the Manhattan team are concentrating on getting dressed up for the Met Gala, an event to which they have all, for unknown reasons and reasons that remain a mystery to them.

“You, me and Rihanna!” Declares Harry with a lot of enthusiasm.

Carrie agrees to wear a new designer to the Met gala, the wife of a friend. However, the fitting doesn’t go as planned, and she ends up with a lovely blue cloak but no gown.

Fortunately, she makes the decision to “repurpose” her anguish and rewear the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress that she wore to her unsuccessful wedding to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in the first movie of the Sex and the City franchise.

There is also a humorous back and forth with Mario Cantone’s character, Anthony Marantino, in which he is invited to, then uninvited from, and then reinvited to the famous fashion show that takes place in New York. Unfortunately, we are not able to view our gals on the steps of the Met, but the glamour and glamor are still there; special note should be given to LTW’s outrageous red feathered hat.

When compared to the first season, the beginning of the show’s second season is not very exciting. Even though Carrie sends a text message to her long-lost friend Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall) in the season one finale and they arrange to get together, the PR queen is scarcely mentioned in the pilot episode. Charlotte makes a joke about the size of Carrie’s hookup’s manhood and says that she’s channeling Samantha, but other than that, she’s nowhere to be seen. However, many who have been following the show are aware that Samantha will make a cameo appearance in the last episode of the second season.

Showrunner Michael Patrick King previously discussed his efforts to get Cattrall for the important moment in an interview with ET.

“Even to the point where Kim was finished playing her for a while I wanted to keep Samantha alive because she’s a big part of the Sex and the City brand,” he reveals. “I wanted to keep Samantha alive because she’s a big part of the Sex and the City brand.” “Well, here we are at the 25th anniversary, and I believe some kind of magic took place. There was some kind of show business emotional fan magic that took place, and all of a sudden Kim said, “All right, let’s show up for this special treat.” And I enjoyed myself. I mean, writing Samantha was always entertaining, and it was fantastic to get the opportunity to move her from word to face.
