Meet Freddie, the dog that has spent the better part of the last decade confined within a metal cage. The unfortunate young man never had a family to love and care for him as he was growing up. His owner locked him up in a cage in order to breed him, and as soon as he recognized that the dog was too old to be used for breeding, he got rid of him.

We got Freddie and a number of other canines out of that awful situation, thank goodness, along with several other pets.

The problem is that dogs who are confined in cages for such an extended period of time are at an increased risk of developing both physical and mental problems. And a prolonged period of therapy is required before they can get their lives back on track.

The person who rescued the dog claimed that she got the sudden realization that the dog had not been provided with any basic requirements.

The dog stood there pondering what to do when she presented him with a bed she had brought for him.
