Explosions caused as a direct consequence of Russia’s continuing conflict were sufficient to frighten away a mother dog. Her eight tiny pups were abandoned in a hole 11 feet below the surface of the ground, causing them to be as terrified as possible.
At this time, Mama had already been gone for three days, and the elderly lady who was caring for the puppies had already reached out to Love Furry Buddies Rescue for assistance…
The pups were rescued one at a time off the ground and put one at a time into a box so that they could be transported. Before proceeding with the therapy, they were quite certain that there were no more pups in the area or in the mud. These brave individuals, who remained behind throughout the conflict to assist animals who were in need of assistance, have made an indelible impact on the lives of the helpless dogs.
