For a stray that is homeless and roaming the streets, the only things that are on his mind are finding something to eat and a place to sleep where he would be protected from the weather.
“New Kid,” a one-of-a-kind stray who was found roaming about, thought he was just like any other animal who was in need. He was emaciated and clearly famished, and it was clear that he needed a shower.
When New Kid was brought into a shelter in Los Angeles, the employees there had no notion of his extraordinary one-of-a-kind qualities. Although every dog has its own unique qualities and characteristics, New Boy was unlike any other canine the workers at the animal shelter had ever seen before.

The volunteers quickly came to the conclusion that this unfortunate child has an extreme lack of confidence. Because he was so uncomfortable with other people, he positioned himself against a wall and refused to take his gaze off of it. In addition to these symptoms, he was underweight, dehydrated, infested with mange, and had parasites. He deserved to be loved and to undergo counseling. But things were about to take a dramatic change for the worst.

An experienced shelter worker recognized that there was something quite unusual about this “dog” while they were putting New Kid into a kennel and examining him. During that, the shelter worker called to have New Boy tested, and her fears were confirmed during the examination. New Boy was really a wolf-dog mix!

In point of fact, this understanding posed a significant challenge. The homeless shelter did not have the resources to care for him. Because it was against the law for them to retain New Kid, he was going to be put to sleep if they couldn’t find him a new home. The employees of the sanctuary pretended not to hear it. They made connections in every conceivable location before ultimately getting a break in the game.
The W.O.L.F. Sanctuary, which is located in the state of Colorado, volunteered to take in New Boy. Without hesitating, staff at the refuge embarked on the 18-hour journey to get New Boy. When the wolf-dog finally arrived at his brand-new home, he was able to finally get the medical treatment that he so sorely needed.

The poor little guy required intensive medical care. In addition to that, he suffered from anemia and had problems with his feet. The animal hospital where he is being treated reports that he is making remarkable progress in his recovery. When his health has improved to the point where it is no longer a concern, he will undoubtedly visit his new companions at the refuge.
