The musician known as “U Got It Bad” reportedly suffered a bloody nose and broken ribs as a consequence of a heated altercation that became violent early on Saturday morning between him and Chris Brown.

On Saturday, TMZ released a video that purported to show the verbal exchange that took place between the two artists before the alleged physical confrontation took place. ET has attempted to contact representatives for Brown and Usher in order to get a comment on this matter.

According to the information provided by the site, which cited the footage as well as witnesses who were present at the event, Brown had approached Teyana Taylor and grew upset when she ignored him. It has been said that Brown, who was celebrating his 34th birthday on Friday night at Skate Rock City in Las Vegas, wanted Taylor to be kicked out of the party. However, Usher stepped in to defend Taylor, and this is when things started to go awry.

You can see Usher making an unsuccessful attempt to de-escalate the situation in the video. His efforts were fruitless. According to the source, Brown first yelled expletives at Taylor before turning his rage at Usher. TMZ goes on to state, citing sources, that Brown and his entourage exited the skating rink, only to have Usher follow in pursuit. Usher was reportedly angry over the incident. According to the subsequent information provided by the media site, Usher emerged from hiding a short while later sporting a bloodied nose after going behind a line of charter buses.

Additionally, according to B. Scott’s report, Usher had bruised ribs in the incident. TMZ would subsequently corroborate B. Scott’s allegation that the controversy between Brown and Taylor arose from Brown’s performance at the AMAs last year, which was originally scheduled to feature an homage to Michael Jackson but was ultimately canceled at the last minute. Where exactly does Taylor fall within all of this, then? Brown allegedly went after her because she was engaged in the preparation of the show “but something went awry before the day of” the performance. This information comes from TMZ.

Usher and Brown have known one other for a very long time and have shared the stage together many times throughout the course of their careers.

In point of fact, Usher’s “Lovers and Friends” event in Las Vegas is set to include them as the headlining act on Saturday night. According to TMZ, Usher will not cancel his performance and will go on as planned.
