Earlier this month, those who were fortunate enough to be walking by this playground were treated to a wonderful display of friendship in its purest form.
A small boy and girl were seen there having fun and spending the day playing on the slide, but they were joined by another group of children.
The youngsters are shown in a video that has since gone viral jumping up and down the playground equipment repeatedly, accompanied by an equally enthusiastic dog who is participating in the enjoyment more as a peer than as a pet. The video shows the children and the dog playing together.
The video, which seems to have been posted for the first time by a person named Reed Esme on Facebook, includes a clue about the nature of their relationship:

The adorable dog, on the other hand, did more for them than just defend them:
It is not known precisely how long this particular moment of pleasure lasted; nonetheless, it is apparent that the happy three have already created a lot of joyous memories together and have a great deal more in store for them in the future.
In the end, children who grow up with a pet also grow up with a best friend of their own when they are older.
