Recently, a guy who claimed he wanted to turn over several canines to Detroit Animal Care and Control approached a volunteer who was coming for her shift at the facility. The doors of Detroit Animal Care and Control hadn’t even opened for the day at the time. The volunteer requested that he wait outside while she went inside to get some papers; but, when she returned, the guy was nowhere to be found. The volunteer looked around the area, perplexed, and then she noticed them: two pups, shaking behind a fence and imprisoned within the play area of the animal shelter.

“They were huddled together and cowering,” a spokesman from Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control told The Dodo. “They were huddled together and cowering.” “Absolutely terrified.”

The personnel at the rescue organization searched the grounds of the shelter thoroughly, checking in every nook and cranny to determine whether or not the guy had dumped any other pups or other animals there.

“Instead of an Easter egg hunt, our staff at DACC went on a hunt for dumped puppies,” a member of the staff at the Detroit Animal Care and Control said in a post on Facebook. “We went on a hunt for dumped puppies.”

When this woman sings to rescued animals, the animals fawn all over her and melt into her arms.

After ensuring that there were no other canines in the vicinity, the employees brought the pups inside where they provided them with both food and water. It was obvious that the pups were starving, yet they started their eating in a cheerful manner anyhow. After they had eaten enough, the two started to explore. They soon began to feel at ease, making themselves at home at the shelter, and making the most of all the exciting opportunities it presented to them.

“They are doing much better,” the spokesperson added. “They are doing much better.” “[They] were happy to start eating and playing with toys,” the narrator says.

The dogs were eventually taken in by Loving Hands Pet Rescue, where the employees organized their continuing care in a foster home and started looking for families who would adopt them permanently.

The brown puppy, who is now known as Zeus, has successfully located his owners.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Loving Hands said that “Zeus is going to be beyond loved and spoiled” since he would be the “perfect addition to their family.”

The second puppy, who we have since dubbed SpongeBob, is still looking for the home that will be the ideal environment for him.

“SpongeBob loves to play with other puppies and children both outside and with toys,” Loving Hands stated in a post on the dog’s personality. “He is doing very well with going outside to use the potty and with crate training,” the trainer said.

These pups may now rest easily knowing that they are in the hands of individuals who love them and that they will never be abandoned again now that they are finally secure.

Donating to Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control will allow you to assist other animals, much like these adorable pups.
