Zeus is a nice pit bull who has been waiting for the perfect person to come along at the Spartanburg Humane Society for almost three years now.

The neglected dog, who does not have a family to call his own, distracts himself from his loneliness by playing with empty milk cartons, which are among his favorite things in the world.

“Most dogs love squeaky toys,” Kaki Taylor, a volunteer with the Spartanburg Humane Society, told. “But milk cartons are his thing,” you may say.

Over the course of his time at the humane society, Zeus has established himself as a fan favorite among the employees. The volunteers like spending time with Zeus and bringing him on his favorite excursion, which is a drive with the windows down to Starbucks so that he can have a pup cup. Taylor has been left with such an imprint by the long-term resident of the shelter that she often thinks about him at home, particularly when she is purchasing milk.

“I’ve started drinking more milk lately just so I have extra milk cartons to bring to the shelter,” said Taylor. “It’s been driving me crazy!”

At the humane society, everyone is aware of the fact that Zeus would make an incredible pet. Zeus has the disposition to be rather reserved with new people, and his poor first impressions have often prevented him from advancing. The anxious puppy only has to understand that he can put his faith in you. After that, his heart is completely changed.

Taylor said that despite his seeming kindness, the youngster seemed timid around strangers. “He is aware that something to his benefit is on the way.”

Zeus is searching for a home where he will be the only pet, and he would particularly love to live with an active adult or older teen. If you know of anybody who could be a good fit for Zeus, please let me know. The eccentric canine is prepared to be loved for the rest of his life and can’t wait to move to his new home, but only on the condition that he may take his milk cartons with him.

“He needs a life outside the shelter,” said Taylor. “He’s been here too long.” “He’s spent way too much time cooped up in a kennel.”
