This week, Michael J. Fox discussed his evolving views on mortality in light of his ongoing fight against Parkinson’s disease. Fox is now in the sixth stage of the condition.
“My life is set up so…I can pack Parkinson’s along with me if I have to,” Fox says in a preview of his interview with CBS Sunday Morning, which will run this weekend. The interview will be shown this weekend.
In the video, Fox discusses how the illness has forced him to reconsider his perspective on life and how he lives it. Parkinson’s disease does not result in death. “You die with Parkinson’s,” he adds, noting that the condition is one that renders a person more vulnerable to other life-threatening accidents, such as falling, choking, or being sick with a cold. “You die with Parkinson’s,” he continues. “You die with Parkinson’s.”
“I’ve been thinking about the finite nature of it,” he continues. “I’ve been thinking about the mortality of it.” “I’m not gonna be 80.”

However, Fox has not let the discovery deter him from continuing his efforts to assist those who will come after him. This week, on the red carpet for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the actor revealed to ET that his team has helped contribute to a number of medical advancements that will assist in the prevention of Parkinson’s disease in patients in the future.
“The idea of a biomarker,” which is a “way to identify the disease before the disease is present,” was explained by Fox. At the time that I was diagnosed, I had a little twitch in my finger, but…with this, we can detect the illness relatively early and aid progression, and effectively treat it ahead of the game.”
Fox views the development as a significant step forward for the Parkinson’s community as a whole. Despite this, he continues to have problems with his own ailments.
“I’m not going to lie, it’s getting hard, it’s getting harder,” he says in the teaser for CBS Sunday Morning. “It’s getting harder.” “The going becomes rougher and tougher. However, that is the case because that is the reality of the situation.

At the beginning of this month, Apple Original Films shared the teaser trailer for Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie with the public. The unique life and high-profile career of Michael J. Fox will be the subject of the documentary’s coverage. This week, on the red carpet of the foundation’s event, the actor stated that he is very pleased with the film.
“I love the way that they did it,” he told ET of the decision-making process. “They used this kind of footage in the narrative, in my story, and they found situations in movies that acted out the — because it actually took place in my life.” This movie is really creative, and it’s also a pretty nice one.
