The other day, John Alexander Palomino Bendives was looking forward to finally unwinding at the apartment in Peru where he lives with his mother and four dogs after returning from a two-week spell working in the field. He had been away from home the whole time.
However, before Bendives could even enter the premises, he received a second call to action, this time to save the life of his cherished dog Mina.

When Bendives and his girlfriend arrived in the lobby of his apartment building, their presence was immediately noted by the residents of the building. Mina and the other dogs were ecstatic to see their master return and were staring down over the balcony railing from the rooftop apartment where his family lived on the fourth floor.
They would be greeted by Bendives as soon as a few seconds passed. However, it seems that we waited for Mina for a little bit longer than necessary.
Mina started to plummet to the street below after either losing her balance and slipping or misjudging the distance and leaping, depending on how you look at it. We are fortunate that Bendives, who is quick-witted and alert, saw what was happening and was able to grasp her in his arms.

To Bendives’s great relief, Mina may be saved from what seemed to be a certain loss thanks to the efforts of Bendives. And to the women.
According to what Bendives shared with The Dodo, “she was fine, unharmed.” As the video shows, Mina expressed both joy and gratitude for what had been done for her. She couldn’t contain her joy and couldn’t quit wagging her tail.”
Every one of his puppies was overjoyed to see that Bendives had returned. Mina is obviously doing much too much of something.
According to Bendives, the family has decided to make some adjustments as a result of the terrifying event: “We are looking at putting up a mesh barrier on the roof so that they can continue to sit up there but without the risk of falling again.”
Now that the unimaginable has occurred — and calamity has only been averted by a hair’s breadth — it’s the least they could do.
Bendives said, “I have a lot of love for all of my animals.” They always show a great deal of affection and feeling for me when I visit. During the time that I am at home, I make it a priority to spend as much time as I can with them.
