Here is Sunny, a young dog that has lately had one of his greatest fantasies come true for him. Sunny is a poodle mix. Sunny, an abandoned and frightened stray dog, used to wander the streets of Los Angeles, California, looking for someone to care for him and give him a home. While he was on the verge of giving up, he stumbled upon a residence that was unusually inviting just in the nick of time.

The dog decided that he had nothing to lose, so he climbed up onto the porch and sat on the doormat. Even though he had no idea who owned the home, he had the feeling that he was in good hands with the people within.

A user by the name of @jylngvr (Jaylene Guevara) posted a video on TikTok in which she wrote: “My parents informed me that a missing puppy was sitting by their front door.” “I instructed them to use any means at their disposal to ensure that he remained at the location,”

Guevara’s journey to Sunny’s parents’ home would take around one hour, and during that time, the two good Samaritans would work to earn Sunny’s confidence. Guevara’s parents carried some food and water out to the dog, along with a warm blanket, in the hopes that the dog would decide to remain with them.

To their good fortune, the gifts they made kept Sunny around for a sufficient amount of time for Guevara to arrive. She planned on taking the dog to the veterinarian to have him checked for a microchip and given a bath, but before she could do that, she needed to earn the dog’s trust. Sunny wasn’t immediately aware, but after some time, she pieced together that Guevara’s presence was for her benefit.

Guevara said that at this moment it was approximately 9 p.m. and that he had finally warmed up to her.

Guevara took Sunny to the veterinarian right away, and the staff there discovered that the canine did not have a microchip. At that point, Guevara decided to bring Sunny back with her to her apartment.

Guevara was able to detect that Sunny was in discomfort as a result of his extremely matted hair, and as a result, she scheduled grooming services for him the next day. She was aware that getting a haircut would improve his mood, but she was unprepared for the dramatic shift in his manner that it would bring about.

According to what Guevara stated in the video transcript, “He was extremely delighted after his grooming.” “He was making a mess of himself on the grass.”

@jylngvr Meet SUNNY ☀️💘 Rescued this baby boy the night of 3/20/2023. I scheduled a vet appointment for him for Friday morning. I’ve posted several lost dog reports on PawBoost, lost and found FB groups in the Chino, CA and San Bernardino County area, my mom has posted him on NextDoor, and I reported him to the Inland Valley Humane Society but so far we have not found his owner. I am fine with fostering him for however long I need to and am willing to adopt him if need be. He is in good hands with us ❤️ #dogrescue #rescuedog #rescuedogsoftiktok ♬ Get You The Moon – Kina

Guevara was resolved to be at the poodle mix’s side during the whole of his long journey to recovery, which was still in front of him.

Guevara stated, “The poor child is very thin, but he is in excellent hands with us.” He referred to the fact that the boy was emaciated. We are aiming to get him to the point where he appears and feels like the greatest version of himself.

A few days later, Guevara provided an update video in which he said that Sunny was already feeling much better. Even though he was still getting accustomed to being around other dogs, whether at home with his new sister, Luna, or passing by on walks, there was one certain thing: Sunny enjoyed his new life.

@jylngvr Little update… nothing new really. Will find out more tomorrow at his vet appt 🤞🏼 #dogrescue #rescuedog ♬ original sound – Jaylene

In the update, Guevara offered the information that “He is doing very, really well.” “He is affectionate, cute, and cuddly. I have a lot of affection for him.

Guevara also said that despite her exhaustive search efforts, she was unable to locate any proof that Sunny belonged to anybody else. She was hoping to discover a missing dog post that fit Sunny’s description, but she was unable to locate any such posts.

Since then, She has decided to keep Sunny for the rest of his life, and she is continuing to provide him with all the love and affection that he so justly deserves. The adorable puppy may not be able to express his gratitude to Guevara for rescuing him verbally, but he makes it clear in other ways that he appreciates what she has done for him.

“It’s obvious how glad he is to finally be here with us!” Guevara posted on TikTok at some point. “He is the nicest thing in the world. He is appreciative as well as kind.

@jylngvr Replying to @kirstey he is also being tested for parasites but those results are pending. I really hope that’s not what is giving him diarrhea. We love him very much. I’ve learned how difficult it can be, though—especially with 2 dogs in an apartment and when they bark. They set each other off when they do so we have to be careful of noise complaints. Anyway, I hope Sunny’s story inspires others to foster and rescue dogs if they can. But just know, it takes a lot of time, patience, and can be expensive so be sure to do your research. There are so many animals in need, so I encourage you all to adopt don’t shop ❤️ #rescuedog #dogrescue ♬ Oogum Boogum Song – Brenton Wood
