The much-loved actor Daniel Radcliffe is going to become a parent!
After more than ten years of dating since portraying love interests in their 2013 film Kill Your Darlings, the Harry Potter star, 33, and his longtime girlfriend, Erin Darke, are expecting their first child, according to a representative for the actor.
Radcliffe had previously confirmed their relationship with the publication PEOPLE. Darke is 38 years old and “really happy” together, and added in March of this past year, “I’ve had a very good life. Over ten years have passed since I first started seeing my current girlfriend.”
After working together again on the 2016 film Don’t Think Twice and season 3 of Radcliffe’s TBS series Miracle Workers, he stated the experience “was extremely unique and felt great,” although it was more of an infrequent event than anything else. “Don’t Think Twice” was released in 2016.
It’s something we like doing, but it’s not something we want to do all the time, he added. “We absolutely appreciate working together.”
Radcliffe continued by saying, “We both write, so perhaps we’ll have the opportunity to do more in the future.” “So, maybe at some time in the future we’ll compose something together, and that would be awesome,” she said.
Despite the fact that the pair have attempted to keep their relationship out of the public eye as much as possible, Darke did accompany him on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story in September.
In October, Radcliffe said in an interview with Newsweek that he “would not desire fame for my child, but I do want my children, if and when they come into existence… They should hang around on movie sets more, in my opinion.”
“For them to go into a movie set and say something like, “God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department,” it would be the fulfillment of a dream. I’d do everything to be a part of the cast or crew,'” “said Radcliffe. “Wonderful locations may be found on film shoots. I believe that many times it may be a good experience for children. Yet, the aspect of fame is the one that should be avoided at all means in this situation.”
