While Patrick Duffy is well-known for his performances in a number of classic roles on television, the part that he performs as a family man is even more impressive.

Patrick’s performance as Bobby Ewing in the prime-time soap opera “Dallas” brought him global popularity and fortune in the entertainment industry. Patrick played the part of the character from 1978 to 1985, and then again from 1986 to 1991, and he considered it to be one of the most important and meaningful parts of his life. Even later on, in a continuation of the series that aired from 2012 to 2014, he appeared in the role again.

Since he was a little boy, Patrick has entertained the idea of making a career out of acting. His birthday is March 17th, 1949, and he was born in Townsend, Montana. After becoming involved in the school’s theater club while he was still in high school, he went on to get a degree in acting from the University of Washington. After some time, Patrick was offered a position as an actor-in-residence.

Soon after that, Patrick was cast in the main part in the television show “Dallas.” His popularity increased thanks to the comedy “Step by Step,” in which Suzanne Somers was also a cast member. Patrick successfully maintained his hectic schedule from the late 1970s all the way through to the late 1990s by playing the role of Frank Lambert, which he played from 1991 to 1998. Later on in his career, the actor was cast in the role of Stephen Logan on the daytime serial opera “The Bold and the Beautiful,” where he remained a cast member from 2006 to 2011.

During his life, Patrick has had a lot of things to be grateful for. He has been in a number of popular television series, which has contributed to the development of a sizable fan base. He has also kept himself quite busy by acting in a large number of television movies during the course of his career. In more recent years, Patrick has maintained his acting career, most notably in the films “The Green Knight” and “Lady of the Manor,” as well as in an episode of the television show “NCIS.”

Despite this, Patrick had several misfortunes throughout the course of his life. On November of 1986, both of his parents were were down and died in the course of a robbery.

“When my parents were murdered, I went through all the emotions of the horrific event—shock and anger and everything—but I never felt disconnected from (my parents),” he said in an interview with Closer Weekly. “When my parents were murdered, I went through all the emotions of the horrific event—shock and anger and everything.”

When Patrick’s wife Carlyn Rosser passed away from cancer on January 23, 2017, he was confronted with yet another heartbreaking loss. She was a trained dancer who had performed with the First Chamber Dancing Group of New York at one point in her career. They had been married for 43 years and had two children during that time.

Patrick let himself some time to mourn the loss of Rosser. In an interview with Closer Weekly in 2019, he discussed how much he missed certain facets of his life with his late wife and how much he longed for those times.

He said, “I still consider myself to be married to my wife.”

The actor went on to say that he was taken aback by the news of Rosser’s passing since he hadn’t anticipated it at all.

Luckily, Patrick was able to rely on the support of a large group of friends and family members, including his own children, to get through this difficult period.

Years after Rosser’s passing, Patrick discovered a fresh cause for happiness and demonstrated that he had not closed up his heart to the possibility of future love. PEOPLE magazine claimed in the year 2020 that Patrick had begun dating “Happy Days” actress Linda Purl.

Nonetheless, even though he discovered a new love following the loss of his wife, Patrick’s first priority was always his children. Padraic Duffy and Conor Duffy, both of whom were born in 1974, the same year that he and Rosser tied the wedding, are his sons. Conor Duffy entered their life in 1980, six years after Padraic Duffy was born.

In contrast to his father, Padraic made the decision to embark on a career in the performing arts, and he now holds the position of managing director for a theatrical group in Los Angeles. Emily Kosloski, an actress who has featured on a number of popular television programs, including “The Fosters,” “Dallas,” and “Weird City,” is his wife. Padraic and Kosloski are the parents of two kids.

On the other side, Conor chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and made his debut on television in the same program that his father had appeared in, which was called “Dallas.” In addition, he has had guest appearances on a variety of other television episodes, such as “Arrested Development,” “Superstore,” “The Mick,” and “Good Girls.” He is a father of two children with his wife, Emily Cutler, who works in the television industry.

When Conor made the announcement that he will be writing and directing a live reading of “Max & Willy’s Final Laugh” in 2019, Patrick turned to social media to express how pleased he was of his son. Conor’s accomplishments have been nothing short of astounding.

“I cannot express how pleased I am of my kid for this. I will be there both evenings. “This is something that each and every person should see for themselves and feel,” stated Patrick.

With the passing of their mother, Patrick grew an even stronger connection with his children and connected with them on a regular basis.

In the April 2019 issue of Closer Weekly, a source informed the publication, “His sons and their families are around all the time.” Since he detests spending time alone himself, his family is very close. He loves having them in his company.

In an interview that Patrick gave to Time & Leisure when he was on the road promoting “Catch Me If You Can,” he expressed his excitement about returning to his hometown to spend time with his family.

“I look forward to coming home because that’s where my family is, and there, both of my sons have married great and smart people,” she said. There are four grandkids in my family. This will be the longest period of time in my life during which I will not be in their presence. “And I miss them horribly,” he expressed his sentiments.

Patrick is a naturally proud father, especially with his sons Padraic and Conor. But, he is also an exceptionally devoted grandfather to his grandchildren. He explained to Closer Weekly how their family traditionally celebrates the holidays, and contrary to what one would assume, it is not the traditional way. He said:

“We’ve always had the custom that as soon as my two sons were married and had children, either we stopped going to their home for Christmas or they stopped coming to our house for Christmas. This has been the case ever since they were married and had children. The celebrity went on to explain that she “always felt it was so important to wake up in your own bed as a child and to just have that family unit together all day, in your pajamas, eating crap you shouldn’t eat.” “I always felt it was so important to wake up in your own bed as a child and to just have that family unit together all day.”

Then there were the parents, who were attempting to clean up the whole mess. Yet this is the crux of the matter. Patrick made the observation that the grandparents often visit their grandchildren a few days following or before the event. He went on to say that his grandkids enabled him to “relive memories” and provided him “the same delight” that he and his late wife had had while they were raising their children.

The celebrity shared with the publication that “my biggest joys today are grandkids since I have four of them.”

Nonetheless, Patrick advised that one should avoid “recreating the memories” of previous occurrences wherever possible. He explained that first they needed to build their own identity, and only after that could you kind of fit into it. “But it’s incredibly gratifying to see that innocence persists, and then try to rediscover it as an adult,” she said. “But it’s so fulfilling to see that innocence endures.”

Padraic, Patrick’s son, is similarly a devoted son to his father and offers his father moral and emotional support in his relationship with Purl. In October 2022, Padraic liked one of Purl’s tweets that showed the first shipment of her and Patrick’s newest baking enterprise, which was selling sourdough starter kits for Duffy’s Dough sourdough.

We are overjoyed to see that Patrick’s family gets along so well with one another, and we wish them all the best for the future!
