During the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh’s relationship generated another viral moment.

Upon the announcement that Curtis had won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for her work in the multiverse epic, the cast of “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” flew into a frenzy.

Stephanie Hsu, who was also recognized in the category, shrieked and sprang to her feet as the name of her co-star was announced in an upset victory against the favorite, Angela Bassett. Stephanie Hsu had been expecting to win the award herself.

Before taking the stage, Yeoh greeted Curtis with a hug, and Curtis proceeded to give her co-star a passionate kiss.

During the Golden Globes that took place a month ago, Curtis’s ecstatic response to Yeoh’s award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy quickly went viral on the internet.

Over the whole of award season, Curtis has been Yeoh’s most ardent supporter, even going so far as to start a chant of her friend’s name during Sunday’s acceptance speech. During the presentation, Yeoh was awarded the prize for best actress.

She yelled out, “Michelle Yeoh, I love you, I love you, I love you!” while Yeoh, who was in the crowd and fighting back tears, gazed on.

It was Curtis’ first time earning an award from the Screen Actors Guild. Before that, in 1995, she received a nomination for her role in the film “True Lies.”

During the course of her winning speech, she said, “I know that when you look at me, you think ‘Nepo baby.'” “But, the fact of the matter is that I am 64 years old, and this is just incredible.”

Also, this is the first year that Curtis has been considered for an Oscar nomination.
