Since Griffon, a sweet stray dog, had spent a significant period of time roaming the streets, he had nearly given up hope of ever being adopted by a family that would care for him.
One day, good luck was on the side of Griffon. When he arrived at the unanticipated site, which turned out to be a military installation quite distant from his hometown, the guy who had saved his life welcomed him with open arms.
Paws of War is a charitable organization that trains service dogs for veterans and first responders. According to a post on their Facebook page, the organization states that “A commander in the United States Navy spotted the little dog and realized that it wouldn’t survive long on its own in such a perilous setting.”
“He scooped up the puppy in his arms and thought about the slogan of his unit, which was “Those who enter alive, depart alive,” and he concluded that it must also apply to this small creature.
Griffon’s notoriety spread quickly across the facility, and before long, everyone was looking forward to catching up with him.
“When the Commander started taking care of Griffon, he created a strong attachment with the pup, who now follows him everywhere,” the post added. The statement continued. “As the Commander began taking care of Griffon, he formed a strong bond with the pup.”
“In a short amount of time, Griffon was accepted into their family, and his presence offers happiness to everyone he comes in contact with.”
The kind commander, who shall remain nameless, came to the conclusion that he should provide Griffon with a home for the rest of his life and bring the dog back to the United States with him.
Gary Baumann, who serves as a spokeswoman for Paws of War, has confirmed to the media that the commander and the Griffon will be reunited in the near future.
The Dodo was told by Baumann that Griffon is a remarkable canine. “He is loving with all the people and dogs that he comes into contact with, and he loves food. He is making excellent progress.
According to Baumann, “We are looking forward to the reunion. The commander is from Maryland, and he is delighted to show Griffon to his wife and children.”
