The son of Guy Fieri, Ryder, had a significant birthday, and it wasn’t only because he turned 17 years old.
The youngest son of the Food Network celebrity celebrated his birthday on New Year’s Eve, and the big day arrived with a present that he has been earning for a whole year in preparation for the special occasion. Guy, who is 55 years old and has a son named Hunter who is 26 years old, said on the cover story of the September issue of PEOPLE that he had a rule about the boys’ first automobile.
“Do you know what kind of car Ryder drove to school when he received his driver’s license? He purchased the used Chrysler minivan with 259,000 miles that belonged to my parents. I will not purchase Ryder a vehicle, and I will not allow him to buy a car until he has driven the minivan for a full year without receiving any citations or being involved in any accidents “he said those words at the time.
When a year has gone, it is safe to say that Ryder is no longer required to ride in the minivan. According to Guy, who will be hosting “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives Live” at Food Network’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival on February 24, he set up a scavenger hunt for Ryder and his friends at his ranch in Northern California to reveal the big gift. “They had to climb all the way to the viewing point at the top of the mountain since the clue for the next-to-last piece of information pointed them there. “To clarify, what exactly is the gift? The present is that we will pay for the remaining half of the cost, but you have to pay for the first half. But, he was really elated, “Then he adds.
Even after a few months have passed, none of the thrills has faded away. Guy claims that Ryder always takes the time to carefully reverse the vehicle into their driveway at night.
“The other night I met up with him. I arrived at my house at almost the same time as he did. I ask, “Are you going back in?” He responds with a “Well, yes. When seen from the front, the truck has a much more intimidating appearance “recalls Guy.
The Fieri family will be attending the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, which takes place from February 23rd to the 26th.
