A lady claimed that the actor Keanu Reeves was the biological father of her four grown children, and she asked for spousal support in the amount of $3 million per month. In the meanwhile, Reeves said that he had never even come into contact with the lady.

When you are a well-known star in the entertainment sector, you have to deal with a diverse range of admirers, some of whom may be difficult to manage. Keanu Reeves was taken aback when he found himself in the thick of a legal dispute with a fan, in contrast to other celebrities who are used to dealing with situations of this kind.

One day, Reeves was caught aback when a strange lady named Karen Sala claimed that he was the father of her four grown children. She called him their biological father. The actor from “John Wick” ended up having to defend himself in court once the charge reached that level.

SALA MAKES HER ACCUSATIONS

In the year 2020, Sala said that Reeves was the biological father of her four children, who were then ages 21, 22, 23, and 25. She requested for a stunning $3 million a month in spousal support, with payments going back to 2006, and she asked for $150,000 a month in child support, with payments going back to 1988. She said:

“I have no doubt in my mind that he is the biological father of the child.”

According to the lady, who was previously married, she and Reeves had an intimate connection over the period of her marriage, which continued after it ended. She said that they had lived together for an extended period of time and that he was there at the delivery of many of her children.

Sala said that he was in possession of evidence that they were romantically involved but chose not to provide it to the court. In addition, she said that they had spent their formative years together in the same town, Barrie, but in reality, Reeves had spent his formative years one hundred kilometers apart in Toronto before moving to Hollywood in 1986.

Sala said in her deposition that she had known the “Matrix” actress when she was four or five years old but that they had lost touch with one another over the years. She said that he was known by a few other names. She went on to say that

“I didn’t realize he was Keanu Reeves. He was Marty Spenser to me in every way.”

REEVES Offers His Response to the Accusations

On the other side, Reeves has said that the craziest thing a fan has ever done to him is “accuse me of being a parent.” He continued, “I was required to appear in court. It was a terrible situation. I didn’t do it. It’s not me—I’m not the dad.” Reeves asserts that he has never come into contact with the lady.

His agent also deemed Sala’s charges “absolutely incorrect and preposterous,” particularly as she stated that the “Speed” actor used hypnosis to pose as Sala’s ex-husband and get her pregnant.

THE CASE ENDS IN REEVES’ FAVOR

As revealed in their divorce proceedings, Reeves’ lawyer, Lorne Wolfson, thinks Sala’s ex-husband is the father of her four kids. It was necessary to conduct paternity tests on Sala’s children in order to validate her allegations. Despite this, she refused to provide the birth certificates of her children and to have her ex-DNA husband’s tested. Wolfson said:

“At best, her proof is remarkable. Her evidence is fantastic. There is obviously no question that can be tried.”

The results of the DNA test revealed that Reeves was not the father of the children who were born to the mother. On the other hand, she challenged the findings and brought up issues with them, such as the potential that the evidence had been tampered with or that Reeves had used hypnosis to influence the decision in his favor once again.

In the end, the case was thrown out by a judge in Ontario who said that proceeding with the trial would be “a waste of scarce court resources.” Additionally, Judge Fred Graham said before the court that the charges made by the lady would not be accepted by any reasonable judge.

Reeves’ experience is surely one that he will never forget, and while he did not father the children of Sala, it doesn’t mean he never had babies of his own.

The actor who played Bill in “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure” had a kid in the past with the actress Jennifer Syme, whom he first met at a promotional event for his band “Dogstar.” Almost immediately after meeting one another, the two embarked on a life together as a married couple. However, the conclusion of their love was as terrible as their daughter’s death.

REEVES’ ONLY DAUGHTER

Reeves and Syme discovered love in 1999 and soon got the happy news of the actress’ pregnancy. Unfortunately, a few months into their pregnancy, their happiness was replaced by sorrow when they learned that their pregnant daughter, Ava Archer Symes-Reeves, had passed away unexpectedly.

The little one arrived on Christmas Eve, and the couple had difficulties dealing with the loss. Syme, particularly, dealt with postnatal depression until the divide between the two prompted them to split up. It was thought that Syme and Reeves were making efforts to mend their relationship, but in 2001, another devastating event took place.

The 28-year-old actress got into an accident while heading to a party at Marilyn Mason’s house. As Reeves and the other pallbearers carried his lover’s coffin during the funeral, he was overcome with grief as they made their way to the burial plot where their daughter was located.

Following the occurrence, Reeves gave an interview in which he remarked, “Grief changes form, but it never ends.” Mirror reported that this statement was made. He went on to say that when loved ones die away, there is a sense of emptiness and loneliness. Admittedly, he occasionally wonders about how life might have turned out with them around.

Sadly, the loss of Ava and Syme were not the only terrible occurrences that transpired in the actor’s life. Reeves was only three years old when he saw his father abandon his mother and their family, leaving her to raise their children by herself. As a direct consequence of this, he was forced to uproot his family and relocate on many occasions, spending time in Hawaii, New York, Australia, and Canada respectively.

As a result of his learning difficulties and the diagnosis of dyslexia, he left high school at the age of 17 rather than continue his education. Despite this, his mother was by far his most reliable source of support. Since getting his big break in the movie “Bill and Ted,” his career has gone from strength to strength, and he is now considered to be one of the most successful actors in all of Hollywood.
