Savannah Chrisley, the presenter of the podcast Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, gave an update on her life on the most recent edition of the show, reporting on how she’s been doing since her parents Todd and Julie turned themselves into jail on January 17.
The Chrisley Knows Best stars are currently serving a combined 19 years in prison after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in June. Todd is serving 12 years at the Federal Correctional Institution Pensacola in Florida, while Julie is serving seven years at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.
At the very beginning of the event, Savannah shared with the audience that “last week was an exceptionally challenging week for both my family as a whole and for each of us individually.” “We were sort of forced to part ways with my parents for a period of time, for a little bit of time, for the foreseeable future, and that was very, really, really difficult. Because of that, I haven’t recorded a podcast since then. Before everything started to go apart in my life, the podcast that will be broadcast tonight and that you are now viewing was recorded.”
She added that the episode, which was recorded on January 12, Julie’s birthday, did not represent the turmoil that is now occurring in her personal life since it was filmed on that day.
She remarked, “It may appear carefree, and during that period, I believe it’s because there was a lot of optimism that was being had.” “It may seem like everything is going your way.” “In addition, I was not confronted with the truth of the circumstance. Because I know that a lot of people are going to be like, “Whoa, what is this?,” and because this was sort of pre-life coming apart, I just kind of wanted to put this in there as a response to that. And from a point on, any podcasts that I record will be posted here.”
Savannah said that the very next episode would focus on checking in with other members of the family.
Next week, I will have a very intense one-on-one podcast with myself kind of giving an update on where my life is at, where things stand, how the kiddos are, Nanny, “Since you guys don’t have one yet, and I’m really looking forward to delivering that update because I’ve seen God work in the strangest of situations,” she said. “Because I’ve seen God work in the craziest of circumstances.”
Additionally, she expressed her appreciation to all who have supported the reality TV family.
“Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, my family, and Unlocked,” said Savannah, who has taken custody of her brother Grayson, who is 16 years old, and her niece Chloe, who is 10 years old and was being raised by Todd and Julie.
In the meanwhile, the couple continues to insist that they did nothing wrong, and their attorney has said that they want to appeal.
