Valerie Bertinelli is being really frank about the plight of those who are subjected to emotional torture in the context of their romantic relationships.
The Food Network celebrity, who is 62 years old, gave her own remark after the brief video clip had finished playing in an Instagram post that she published on Friday. The post consisted of a repost of a video in which another lady discussed the reasons men and women terminate relationships.
“When it comes to emotional torture and psychological torture, it’s not spoken about because you simply assume, ‘I’m not being physically attacked, therefore it’s not torture,’ ” Bertinelli said.
The actress went on to say that a person “will leave to just find themselves again, to just love themselves again, because they don’t even know who they are.” She began by noting that “some women get so lost in trying to make their partner feel so loved, so respected that they’ve lost any kind of love or respect that they have for themselves.
The celebrity, whose marriage to her now ex-husband Tom Vitale ended in divorce last year, was given the role as a result of their divorce. She was also married to the late Eddie Van Halen from the years 1981 through 2007. Their marriage lasted till 2007.
In May 2022, the actress presented Vitale with a petition for divorce, six months after submitting a petition for legal separation in November 2021. She announced on Twitter in November 2022 that she was enjoying what she referred to as the “second greatest day of my life,” which was the day that she and Vitale finally finalized their divorce.
Since then, Bertinelli has been open and honest about the difficult period she’s been going through since her divorce from her ex-husband.
At the beginning of this month, the actress published a statement on social media in which she discussed the reasons why she was looking forward to the new year and waving goodbye to 2022.
This new year’s day is coming in so much better than the one we had last year, the mother of one stated in an Instagram post, which included footage of her beaming and spinning to Taylor Swift’s song “Clean.”
“New Year’s Day has always been one of my favorite days, but for the last five or six years, it has also been one of the days that make me the most miserable. No more, “She went on to say more. “Before, everything simply seemed eternally depressing, terrifying, lonely, and stressful; today, however, there is a great deal more to look forward to. I have no clue what is in store for me, but I’m not concerned about it at all. I am free now. The new year, 2023, is the beginning of the remainder of my life, and I couldn’t be more excited!”
After that, Bertinelli ended the post with a heartfelt message to all of her supporters and followers, which read as follows: “I hope that each and every one of you experience the full measure of pleasure, happiness, and generosity that you deserve. It is all up to you. Grab it! “Love you” and “Happy New Year.” Happy New Year!”
