A woman’s day got off to an unexpected and surprise start when she woke up to find a stray dog lounging on one of the chairs on her patio.

After Amy Haden and her family had gotten out of bed, they discovered their dog snoozing on their back porch. The stray saw Amy and her daughter as well, but he did not appear to be frightened by any of them. He would not get up and continued to unwind in his comfortable position. He was so excited to see them that he waggled his tail in a joyful greeting and acted as if he owned the space.

Amy was taken aback when a visitor unexpectedly appeared on her terrace, but she was gracious enough to invite him inside. The family decided to give him the name Walker and immediately began looking for his relatives. They looked everywhere, but nobody could figure out where he had come from. He did not have a name tag on him and he did not have a microchip. Amy realized that they needed to come up with a long-term solution after spending a month fruitlessly looking for the people who owned Walker.

The family really liked him, but unfortunately, he couldn’t live with them because he didn’t get along with their two dogs. Amy was left with no alternative except to locate a new residence for him. Thankfully, Amy was able to find Walker a permanent place to live with an elderly woman who quickly developed feelings for him. The man received a commitment from the lady that she would love him and that she would do everything in her ability to ensure his happiness.

Another person offered their opinion, saying, “Everything about that body language says, “Please adopt me.” I’m relieved to hear that he found a loving family.”

The fact that this woman admitted she couldn’t provide care for another animal right now is evidence of how responsible of a pet owner she is! Cheers to her success!
