On the day of their wedding, Sarah Hyland presented Wells Adams with a crucial last-chance offer.
Hyland admitted that she did, in fact, make her intentions, as well as the stakes, apparent to her now-husband when Kelly Clarkson questioned the Modern Family alum whether it was “true that you threatened your spouse if he didn’t cry.” Hyland is an alum of the show Modern Family.
Hyland responded with a positive answer to the presenter of The Kelly Clarkson Show. “I genuinely, explicitly, exactly said: ‘If I don’t see you crying when I walk down the aisle, I’m turning around.'” “If I don’t see you crying when I walk down the aisle, I’m turning around.”
The fact that Hyland, who is 32 years old, was able to cry when Adams, who is 38, made her debut is good news for both of them.
The star of “Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin” and the bartender who appeared on “The Bachelor in Paradise” tied the knot in August. In 2019, Adams popped the question to Hyland, but COVID resulted in a major delay in the couple’s previously planned wedding date. The couple decided to put off their wedding until 2022 and even joked that if something else got in the way this year, they’d wind up getting married in Vegas. They waited until 2022 before actually tying the knot.
Adams commented about the wedding delays, saying, “We’re going to do it all over again. We’re going to go on a long holiday to where we got engaged. We’re going to re-plan the whole engagement party again. We’re going to re-plan our bachelor and bachelorette parties. We’re going to kind of like, start a new one doing the wedding stuff.”
Back in 2017, Hyland and Adams first became acquainted through a series of playful exchanges on Twitter. When Hyland tweeted in 2016 about Adams’ participation in The Bachelorette, she appeared to have done so unintentionally but yet was the one to make the first move.
On Thursday, Hyland celebrated her 32nd birthday, and during the celebration, her husband paid her a touching tribute. Adams posted on Instagram, “I’m thankful for so much in my life, but I’m most thankful that this woman was born on this day.” Adams said.
In addition to this, he said, “I’m not sure what I did in a prior life to earn something as lovely as you, but I thank the stars every day that I discovered you.”
