Emily Blunt has shown interest in returning to her heyday at Runway magazine.

The English actress, who is 39 years old, stated on Thursday’s episode of The View that she would be interested in participating in a sequel to her film The Devil Wears Prada, which was released in 2006. The film also starred Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and the actress’s actual brother-in-law Stanley Tucci.

“Because the green eye makeup is so terrifying, it really has to make another appearance. So terrible, “Blunt cracked a joke about her portrayal of Emily Charlton, an intimidating assistant who worked for the editor of a fashion magazine, who was portrayed by Streep.

“And we couldn’t get enough of the fashion. If it meant getting to work with those same men again, I’d do everything to make it happen. It is a lot of fun, “She continued by mentioning her co-stars.

During her appearance on The View a week ago, Hathaway, who is 39 years old, discussed the reasons why she does not believe that there will be a sequel to the movie, which was adapted from a book published in 2003.

In the movie, Hathaway portrayed the role of a new employee named Andy. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, she remarked, “I don’t know whether there can be.” “Do you understand what I mean when I say that I feel like that movie takes place in a different era? The production of a tangible object was the central theme of the movie, which was released at a time when everything was almost entirely digital. Simply said, things are drastically different today.”

“However,” she said, “it is tempting to think of Andy and Emily being responsible for getting Miranda her coffee when she is someplace in Europe. Then, somewhere along the route, they stop in Italy, where Stanley Tucci is eating at a restaurant, and they pick him up. It’s hard to resist, but I don’t believe it’s going to work out.”

It was Hathaway who proposed starting the movie again with a whole new cast: “However, they have the ability to restart it. They could achieve it if they found fresh individuals and worked together. Do you believe that they’ll give us permission to do it?”

Back in 2018, Blunt said to PEOPLE that she did not believe there will be a sequel to the film. “If everyone did it I would be up for it,” she stated at the time. “If everyone did it I would be up for it.” “I almost hope it doesn’t [happen] because I believe sometimes when you sequel things, it sort of dilutes how amazing the original is,” she said. “I almost hope it doesn’t happen.”

The creators of “The Devil Wears Prada” discussed the potential of a follow-up picture with “Entertainment Weekly” in the previous year.

According to the director David Frankel, the studio “while they “did not beg for” a sequel, “we had a conference where we asked, ‘What could we do if there was a sequel?'” Perhaps it was foolish, but we had the impression that this tale had already been told.”

Author Lauren Weisberger, who published a sequel to Revenge Wears Prada in 2013 and dubbed it Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, noted, “Numerous discussions have been place in regards to this topic. It’s not something that’s completely out of the question in my mind.”
