Gabby Windey is letting the cat out of the bag on the current state of her relationship with her fiancé, Erich Schwer.
After their performance on Monday night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, the recent lead on The Bachelorette, who is 31 years old, was asked whether or not she and her partner were still together.
She said in an interview with Fox News, “I think life is simply incredibly hectic for the two of us right now.” “So, I understand their anxiety, but at this point, you know, we’re just sort of moving ahead with each of our different hobbies and supporting each other from a distance.”
Fans have been speculating about the state of the pair’s relationship, which prompted Windey to provide their perspective on the matter. On the ABC program, the reality star was shown without her engagement ring, while Schwer, who is 29 years old, was not visible in the DWTS ballroom this week but expressed his support for Windey on social media.
On his Instagram Story, the real estate expert asked followers to vote for his fiancée and urged them to do so by writing, “Vote for Gabby’s Team!! PPL multiplied by ten. She continues to put the pressure on.”
Previously, Windey discussed how Schwer feels about her weekly ballroom dance numbers with partner Val Chmerkovskiy, particularly after their passionate performance on October 24. Windey also said that Schwer has a crush on Val.
After the Michael Bublé-themed event, Windey commented on Erick’s level of support, saying that it was “very supportive.” “I believe that there is a steep learning curve ahead for all of us. Even though we have never performed in this venue before, it was amazing to have Jenna come into the rehearsal room to educate me, and I also had the opportunity to learn from her. Additionally, Erich has been really encouraging. He has some comprehension that this is a performance, and that we are working toward a goal.”
At the first few weeks of the competition, Schwer, who had previously popped the question to Windey during the season 19 finale of The Bachelorette, was often seen cheering for Windey from the crowd of Dancing With the Stars’ live studio.
When asked by reporters in September how it felt to have Schwer watching her from the audience, Windey described the experience as “wonderful.”
“Just me being happy to perform for him, and him to see a different part of me that we don’t get to share with one other on a daily basis,” she said. “Just me being excited to perform for him.”
After she and Val finished dancing the Viennese waltz to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” Schwer even got part in the performance by giving Windey a kiss and then sharing it with the audience.
Windey revealed to the press that Schwer was aware that he would be a part of the routine, and she said, “I feel as if it was the perfect experience to a wonderful dance.”
