The actor Christopher Meloni has been married to his wife, the artist Sherman Williams, for close to three decades; yet, the actor acknowledges that time flies when you’re having a good time.

“It does not seem like 27 years have passed at all. When the heck did anything like that take place?” This week’s edition quotes Meloni as saying.

Meloni, 61, and Williams, 62, have been married since 1995 and have two children together: a daughter, Sophia, who is 21 years old, and a son, Dante, who is 18 years old.

Meloni attributes the longevity of their marriage to Williams, despite the fact that it had already stood the test of time.

“We’re doing fine. It’s her patience with me, and I mean that in the truest sense of the word. Because she has always been more mature and more levelheaded in many respects, she has always enabled me to develop at the pace that is best for me “he explains. “I walk into her studio when she is painting, and it fills me with joy every time. We have several examples of her art hung all throughout the home. She is interested in purchasing artwork, but I have told her that I have no desire to do so. I want what is yours.”

Meloni, who played the much-loved role of NYPD detective Elliot Stabler on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and then returned to the role in April 2021 on his own spinoff called Organized Crime, says that being a father has brought him an incredible amount of joy. Meloni’s own children were raised by him.

“Both my wife and I always knew we wanted children,” he adds. “I always knew I wanted kids, too.” “When I was younger, my mother would often tell me, “I’ve learned so much from you kids,” but I never understood what she meant by this. Now I understand it.”
