Maya Hawke is excited to find out what the future holds for the character of Robin Buckley that she plays in the show Stranger Things.
The actress, who is 24 years old, recently gave an interview to Rolling Stone in which she discussed the bond she has with her Stranger Things character as well as her aspirations for the future of the Hawkins group.
Hawke has expressed her certainty that the fifth and final season of the Netflix original series will see the passing of additional fan-favorite characters, but she has expressed a particular hope that the character of Robin, the multilingual and adventurous band geek she portrays, will be one of those characters.

In the event that Robin is able to make it through the season, Ethan Hawke has said that she is open to the concept of a spin-off that takes place in the nineties and stars Joe Keery’s lovable jock character, Steve Harrington. She also joked that it would be a coming-of-age narrative set in New York City and that the protagonists would go clubbing together while trying to “figure out what the hell is going on.”

In reference to Steve, who in season 4 admitted his emotions for his ex-girlfriend Nancy Wheeler (played by Natalia Dyer), Hawke said that although her character is a fan, she herself is not a fan of the show. She said, “I believe that Robin obviously wants whatever would make Steve the happiest, which looks to undoubtedly be Nancy.” “I think that Robin definitely wants whatever would make Steve the happiest.”
Because the focus of the program is on the friendships between its characters, Hawke also said that she has never been very involved in the romantic connections between the cast members of Stranger Things.
According to what she said in an interview with Rolling Stone, “There is such an over-emphasis in the media that we consume on romantic love, and it being the final objective that we are all expected to get to.” “Find this one person who is right for you, and then everything will work out and the tale will end. There is a part of me that would ship it a lot more if the tale wasn’t ending, but there is something about our female heroines constantly having endings — which is them finding the perfect man — that I’m over. I’m over it big time.”
She went on to say, “I also believe that the program is very fantastic in that regard because it includes all of these lovely friendships.” “I hope that Nancy, regardless of who she ends up with at the end (Jonathan or Steve), has an ending that feels fulfilling in that manner as well.”
