In order to protect the privacy of their three children, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton only sometimes publish photographs of their family. They have three children. For the same reason, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, do not accompany their parents to many public occasions because they prefer to remain at home.

Fans of the royal family were given a special surprise when the @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account shared a few photographs from a recent occasion that was extremely important to their mother.

Recently, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, built an exhibit for the Chelsea Flower Show hosted by the Royal Horticulture Society. She then accompanied her children to the show so they could see it for themselves. The wonderful day trip was captured in images and posted on their Instagram account, which also included some bonus content.

It was captured on film when Prince George was having fun in the garden with his brothers. Prince William, the boy’s father, approached him as he was having fun on a rope swing and asked him to grade the garden out of 10. The little prince yelled out to his father, “Twenty!” and gave him a very loud response.

William, in his usual manner as a father, deems a score of 20/10 to be “Pretty decent,” to which his pleased mother Kate responds, “How great is that?”

Royal family followers on social media immediately spotted anything noteworthy about the brief exchange: It’s possible that this is the first time any of us have heard George, age 5, speak.

@the_cambridge_family_ commented “This is so amazing. It is so lovely to hear George’s voice.”
