Kathie Lee Gifford went through a time of being devastated and having to get over the sorrow that followed the d.e.a.t.h. of the love of her life when he passed away. Since then, she has renewed joy in her life thanks to a new romantic interest.

It was predetermined from the beginning that Kathie Lee Gifford would one day meet the man who would become her late husband, Frank Gifford. On the set of “Good Morning America” more than three decades ago was where the two first connected.

The television personality once recalled this chance meeting, saying that she was strolling through the building at four in the morning when someone in the dressing room attempting to put on his contact lenses caught her attention. She went on to say that this chance meeting was one of the highlights of her career.

She said that the figure has “the finest pair of buns” that she had ever seen, which prompted her to strike up a discussion with it. Beyond the NFL player gave her a nice reaction in return, and they began to get along well after that point forward.

The engagement was quickly followed by a wedding, and the couple had a happy and fulfilled marriage for the following three decades. Kathie referred to the fateful encounter as a “God wink,” saying that it was supposed to go place. She thought to herself:

“That’s what they mean when they talk about a God Wink; it’s when the divine and the human worlds collide.” On that particular day, I was scheduled to be in that corridor, and he was supposed to be in that room putting on his contact lenses.

Cassidy and Cody Gifford were the couple’s first two children, joining Frank’s three children from his prior partnerships. The pair is now a family of five. Their years of happiness were cut tragically short in August 2015 when d.e.a.t.h. came knocking on their door.

Frank Gifford, the husband of Kathie Gifford, went away unexpectedly at his home in Connecticut when he was 84 years old. He left behind a mixed family consisting of five children, a wife, and a second wife. According to the reports, the legendary player in the NFL passed away from natural causes only a few days before his 85th birthday.

After Frank passed away, his family issued a statement in which they confirmed the news of his passing and paid respect to the legendary figure who had an exceptional life. In addition, the family asked for privacy as they suffered the loss of their cherished dad during this difficult time.

Kathie, on the other hand, was never quite able to get over the loss. On the other hand, she had a difficult time accepting her husband’s passing and coming to grips with her newfound position as a widow for many years. That turned out to be more difficult than she had anticipated. She stated that the new reality appeared strange to her for a considerable amount of time.

Only on the first anniversary of Frank’s loss was the former presenter of “Today” able to force herself to remove her wedding band. When asked about her challenges, the mother of two once revealed the following:

“In some respects, it seems like it was just yesterday, and in others, it seems like it has been 15 years,” she said. It’s simple really strange. You have some waves there.”

The event served as the impetus for Kathie to write and appear in the 2019 film “Love Me to D.e.a.t.h.,” which she also directed. The actor said that she was able to empathize with her role as a widow to such a degree that it prompted a range of feelings inside her.

Thankfully, the actress has now arrived at the stage of acceptance, and she is about to go into a new life with a wide variety of opportunities waiting for her. In 2019, four years after the loss of her spouse, the celebrity felt that she was finally ready to go on with her life.

The 68-year-old woman said that she is ready to love again and start a new relationship during a sit-down interview with Donna Farizan on “Today.” The interview aired on March 20, 2019.

It would seem that Kathie’s request was realized in the end. The TV host who was born in France said that she was involved in a romantic partnership during an edition of “The Today Show” that aired in April 2021.

The celebrity responded to the question posed by co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker by describing her relationship as a joyful one that enabled her to have a sense of fulfillment and contentment in all facets of her life.

The celebrity expressed her concern that she may have fouled things up by just sharing the fact that she had a new boyfriend. However, this did not stop her from chatting with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about her budding relationship despite the fact that it was going strong. During her conversation with Hoda and Jenna, thrilled Kathie gushed about her new boyfriend and remarked as she did so:

“He is beneficial to me, and I am beneficial to him.”

She said that her new boyfriend was “exciting to be with,” that he made her think outside of her comfort zone, and that he was the most intelligent person she had ever encountered. Kathie thought that their meeting at this moment in their lives was not a coincidence, but rather an occurrence that was predetermined, just like everything else that life brought along with it.

In spite of the fact that she was thrilled to be moving on, the superstar chose to maintain the discretion of her romantic relationship by not disclosing any additional information about her new partner or his name.

Following a number of difficult years spent lamenting a loss and making attempts to move on with life, it seems like the multitalented star’s life is now beginning to turn a corner. She has recently pursued a career in the movie industry, and her personal life seems to be going from strength to strength.

Kathie now has more reasons to be pleased than she had in the past. The singer’s eldest son, Cody Gifford, and the woman he is married to, Erika Brown, recently became parents, making the actress a grandma.

As if things weren’t already thrilling enough, the new parents decided to honor Kathie’s late husband and Cody’s father by naming their kid Frank Gifford. After the joyous announcement that she was expecting a child, Kathie made an appearance on “Today With Hoda and Jenna” to discuss her new son, Frank Michael.

She could not believe that her son would honor his late father with the naming of his new son or daughter. According to her, Cody was well aware of the difficulties associated with coming of age under the shadow of a great man and had every motive to make sure that his son would not have to go through those experiences.

Kathie came to the conclusion that her son, who was still in his twenties when Frank passed away, had never gotten over the loss of his father after seeing him defy logic. The actress, for her part, couldn’t have been more thrilled to become a grandma for the first time, and she spent every waking minute after that reveling in her new position.
