In the courtroom, Judge Judy Sheindlin seemed to be a firm, no-nonsense taker, and the same may be said of her parenting style with her own children. In spite of this, she looked to have developed a more nurturing relationship with her grandkids, even coming close to shedding a tear on one of their memorable occasions.
When Judge Judy Sheindlin first began appearing on television, she was known for her strict attitude and humorous comebacks in the courtroom. However, at one point in her life, she decided to forgo her job in order to focus on raising a family. It was Ronald Levy who was her first spouse.
While she was married to him, Judy had the impression that she was under pressure to give up her professional goals and settle down. The celebrity said in a prior interview that she had the notion that it was about time for her to marry since all of her other female pals were getting married.
Judy’s marriage to Ronald resulted in the birth of two boys, Adam and Jamie, while she fulfilled the typical role of a housewife by remaining at home with her family. The famous actress said that at that moment in her life, she had no interest in pursuing a profession and was happy to spend her time with her children.

He related how she suddenly approached him, pointing her finger in his direction, and wanted to know who he was! Soon after that first encounter, the two of them began dating, and eventually got married; however, they later divorced and remarried.
After their second wedding, the pair continued their relationship, and Judy became a stepmother to Jerry’s three children, Jonathan, Nicole, and Gregory, therefore expanding her role as a parent to a total of five children. However, due to the fact that she was a working mother, the reality star felt guilty about her children, as shown by the fact that she stated:
“Working parents bring a certain element of guilt to their connection with their children because of the financial strain they put on the family.”
The judge reflected on the fact that when her children were growing up, they unwittingly caused her to feel guilty. One illustration of this is how her children requested her to bring them a “cooked lunch from home” so that they could be like their other classmates.
But Judy was a stickler for the rules, and she insisted that if they wanted a warm lunch, they needed to put a piece of pizza on the radiator. She once said that she and her husband indulged their children without even realizing what they were doing to them. Judy made a joke about how intelligent the children’s parents were while simultaneously attempting to prevent the food from going bad when the parents picked it up.
The judge also maintains a hectic work schedule, which means that she often does not have time to attend events like the baseball games that her grandkids play. On the other hand, she didn’t mind organizing parties for important milestones like her grandchildren’s graduations and birthdays in order to make them feel extra special.

Casey Barber’s wedding in September 2013 was a memorable event for Judy and the rest of her family since it was Judy’s first granddaughter to be married. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the judge from “Judge Judy” revealed that she had presided over the event in question.

People would compliment Jerry on how gorgeous his kid was whenever he brought him about, to which Jerry would say, “Thank you.” Judy expressed her sentimental gratitude to her grandson and his bride for entrusting her with the responsibility of officiating their wedding, which prompted her husband to say the following:
It was the first time I’d ever seen her become so upset that I believed a tear was going to come out of her eye. “It’s the first time I’d ever seen her get so emotional.”
In contrast to the occasions when the couple had to say goodbye to all five of their children after they married, Judy claimed that she “nearly” let a tear fall. On the stone patio area that Jerry and Judy have on their property, which spans 12.5 acres, the wedding ceremony was place.
The Sheindlin family purchased the 16,993 square foot estate in 2007 for the price of $13.2 million, then destroyed the existing house in 2008 and constructed the new one the following year. Judy said that working with Sarah was one of her favorite experiences since Sarah was “lovely, lively, and brilliant.” The celebrity said how much fun it was to go on the excursion with her granddaughter, and Sarah expressed how grateful she was to be able to create memories with her grandma.
The television personality made the observation that Sarah’s way of thinking was similar to that of Judy and the legal clerk’s father. Judy made an appearance at the graduation ceremony held by New York Law School in May 2022, when she was responsible for presenting her granddaughter with a Juris Doctor degree.
Casey, who had majored in history and political science in college, and his wife both went on to become attorneys, and Casey went on to create and run his own social media company. Adam, Judy and Jerry’s son, has followed in his parents’ footsteps by becoming the District Defense Attorney for the state of New York.
Nicole, the celebrity’s daughter, graduated from the New York Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in the year 1993. In 2006, Judy and her daughter also established Her Honor Mentoring, an organization that serves as a mentorship opportunity for women.
