The lovely puppy was sent to the Sonoma County Animal Services for treatment, where she received two pink casts for her legs. Thankfully, the situation turned out well. The Chihuahua, whose name is now Darla, was just 14 weeks old and weighed only 2 pounds when she was first found. She had surgery to correct the damage to her legs, and the doctors anticipated that she would make a full recovery.

According to Dr. Dan Famini, who shared her story online, the good news was that she was fostered to continue her recuperation, and the adoption process would begin after she had completely healed from her injuries. What a triumphant ending that was! Check out the video further down.
