People have the misconception that cats and dogs are sworn foes who will never get along with one another. However, the video that follows will demonstrate that despite their disparate sizes, they are still able to get along swimmingly and look out for one another.

Tennyson, the lovable German Shepherd, and his owners have just lately been even happier with the addition of a cute kitten to their household. It should come as no surprise that the German Shepherd fell head over heels in love with the kitten the moment he laid eyes on her. Because he cares for the kitten so deeply, he never leaves his side and watches out for any potential threats.

In the video, Tennyson can be seen accompanying his younger pal as they climb a flight of stairs together. The Shepherd, of course, does not have any difficulties at all. However, because of his little and stubby legs, the teeny-tiny cat has a difficult time climbing the steps. After a brief pause, the anxious brother eventually comes to the conclusion that it is time to step in. He seizes the little cat in his hands and takes him all the way to the top.

He begins by attempting to seize the kitten by the nape of its neck, but he is unsuccessful. The GS is aware that he has to use caution so as not to injure the little kitten. And after a few tries, Tennyson was successful in gently carrying the kitten in his jaws, walking up the stairs, and setting it back down on the floor. The sweet puppy and his adorable companion have captured the hearts of many people around the globe.

When the Shepherd dog goes for the kitten’s head, it is only natural for the young cat to feel anxious. After that, though, it seems that he has realized that the large dog is just attempting to assist him. Following the completion of the last task, the older sibling sets the younger cat down and continues to pet and play with him.
