A kind Samaritan in Cape Town, South Africa, discovered a stray kitten towards the end of the year and brought it to the Domestic Animal Rescue Group. The kitten’s name is June (DARG). The poor little kitten was ill, and she was totally blind, yet this did not seem to bother her at all.

Holly Gilbert-Jones, a volunteer at the DARG who gladly took the responsibility of fostering June, told The Dodo that “She was brought in… by a member of the community who had discovered her, and I suppose her mom had been slain.” June had been found by the community member. There were no brothers or sisters in the family.

Despite the fact that she is blind, June does not believe that any of the other cats treat her any differently. It is one of her favorite things to do to race along the length of the home. June is not just full of energy, but she also longs for affection from everyone she comes in contact with.

June was prepared for adoption after spending a number of months in the care of her foster mother Holly, and she was looking for a permanent home and an owner who loves and cares for her in particular. DARG has posted June’s tale on its Facebook page in the hopes that the lovable cat will find a home where she will be loved and cared for.

A pair After seeing June’s post, Andrew Duff and Rebecca Warner made the decision to take her in as a foster child without ever seeing her first. They went to pick her up, and as soon as she saw her new dad, she quickly cuddled up in his arms and nestled against him.

While they were walking back to their house, June even sprang up into Duff’s arms and gave him a warm embrace.

According to what Warner told The Dodo, “she simply curled onto his neck and remained there.” “As I was driving home, I stopped at a convenience store and bought a little tag that said, ‘Daddy’s Girl,’ because I had the sudden realization that, “Well, that’s it. He has now been claimed by her.”

She is now living the good life with her owners and their two cats, Leia and Leeloo. June is quite content. She like being out in the fresh air while walking on her leash and taking in the natural scenery.

Duff said that “she is perfectly wonderful, down to the very last detail of her personality.” “I have never seen an animal that was so loving, so cheerful, and so tenacious. She is the kindest of all the teeny-tiny creatures.”
