During a park cleanup in Santa Ana, Orange County, California, Chewie the Yorkie was thrown out with the rubbish. However, in spite of the fact that both of his front legs were entirely broken, the little dog smiled at everyone in the hope that someone would come to his rescue. Ilovemydogsomuch reports that after days of agony, the professionals of OC Animal Care were able to save him.

According to an X-ray taken at the hospital, Chewie’s shattered legs had begun to recover in a twisted posture. As a result, it was possible that the poor infant had been injured for several weeks but had not been taken to the veterinarian by his parents. Most likely, Chewie’s owner injured his legs and then abandoned him, which would explain his condition.

Following a difficult treatment performed by the veterinarian, Chewie’s legs were successfully restored. Recovery after surgery was obviously challenging for the delicate child, but he showed to be a genuine trooper! With complete trust in his compassionate caregivers, he was up and running on the grass the following week, despite the fact that his cast was still on his leg.

Immediately after he had fully recovered, Chewie was adopted. As is the case with his human and canine siblings, Cheryl, his adoptive mother, is head over heels in love with this little guy. Congratulations, my darling. Chewie’s innocent grin and contagious energy have undoubtedly won him a place in our hearts.
