After his former handler decides to pay him a surprise visit on the spur of the moment, a retired police dog is unable to stop sobbing. The heartwarming interaction was recorded on video, and it caused tears to well up in the eyes of internet users.

Beijing, China (AFP) – Wangwang, an 8-year-old German Shepherd Dog, serves as a sniffer dog during an airport security check-in in Xichuan County. However, in June of this year, the devoted dog decided to retire, and she and her handler were forced to part ways.

Wangwang’s manager retains his position as a patrol officer, and Wangwang is adopted by a caring family in exchange for his services. Because of this, he happened to run see his old fur buddy last month while patrolling the neighborhood and decided to pay her a visit.

They had a wonderful reunion, but Wangwang couldn’t keep the tears back when she saw the guy she had cherished for so long. In a charming video posted by the Xichuan police department on Douyin, China’s version of TikTok, the retired canine can be seen trotting about happily with her handler. Immediately after that, the tears began to flow.

According to Douyin, Wangwang’s hair became white, but she overate and gained weight as a result. The saying goes, “It’s never easy saying goodbye to friends.”

Everyone on the internet was affected by this reunion. “Dogs are devoted friends; please treat them with dignity and consideration!” A remark was made by one of the users. As one individual put it, “It can’t be overstated how much Wangwang misses her managerial position.” When the dog licks the inside of your stomach, it is a good indication.
