Ray, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever who had been abandoned by his owners, was found wandering the streets of Torrance, California, by a bystander who recognized him. His eyes were crusty and filled with sadness. A lack of food had reduced his physique to skeleton proportions, and his coat-fur was missing from the scene of the crime.
