An investigation has shown that a student from the University of Pittsburgh went missing while she was on vacation in the Dominican Republic for Spring Break. According to the police, she was last seen walking along the beach.

One student named Sudiksha Konanki, who was twenty years old at the time, vanished when she was on a vacation with her friends to Punta Cana, which is a little hamlet located on the eastern tip of the island country.

In accordance with the missing people poster that was distributed on the internet, Konanki was last seen at the Riu Republica Resort around 4:50 AM local time on Thursday.

Not only does the same ad identify the items she was wearing when she vanished, but it also depicts her as being 5 feet 3 inches tall with black hair. She was accessorizing with a number of bracelets, earrings, and an anklet in addition to a brown bikini.

In addition to releasing their own statement, the University of Pittsburgh has said that they are collaborating with local police in Virginia as well as authorities in the Dominican Republic in an effort to locate Konanki.

Photos of rescue operations carried out by Defensa Civil, a search and rescue squad, have been uploaded on the internet. Beginning on Saturday, hundreds of individuals wearing orange jackets searched the island for Konanki.

More information has been requested from the authorities, but we have not received a response as of yet.
