An exclamation point has just been given to Caitlin Clark’s spectacular debut season in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA): the league has named her the Rookie of the Year!
According to Shams Charania, the W will make the announcement at some point during the playoffs that the 22-year-old has triumphed over Angel Reese to the title of champion.
Naturally, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise since she has been dominating the league on a night-to-night basis, all the while assisting the Indiana Fever in achieving their first postseason appearance since the year 2016.
Clark finished his career with an average of 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists in 40 games.
She also made history by being the first rookie in the history of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) to achieve a triple-double and the first rookie to ever record 100 3-pointers in a single season. As a rookie, she also established a new record for the most assists and the most points scored by a rookie.

Despite the fact that Clark was able to achieve a lot during her first campaign, things were not always going well. Other players, who seemed to want to greet her with authority upon her arrival in the league, dealt her a number of significant blows. She was the recipient of these blows.
In more recent events, she was embroiled in a confrontation with a spectator who looked to be heckling her from his courtside position on Wednesday night.
As of this moment, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) has announced that A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces has been awarded the Most Valuable Player award, while DiJonai Carrington, a top player for the Connecticut Sun, has been awarded the Most Improved Player award.
