Patrick wrote, “My wife Laura and I have been married for more than five years now, and we are both very happy.” My salary is far lower than that of Laura, who has a job that pays well. As a teacher, I bring in around 40,000 dollars per year, but she is employed in the private sector and brings in between $300,000 and $400,000. Accordingly, we divide all of our financial resources, with her paying 70% and I receiving 30%.
The following is an additional piece of information that was provided by Patrick: “Both of Laura’s parents arrived in our country quite some time ago.” Their primary objective was to ensure that Laura and her sister Margaret would be able to achieve success in life, and as a result, both of them now have professions that pay very well.
