This new song by Slim Shady even makes a reference to the shooting event that occurred with Megan Thee Stallion. Slim Shady is returning to his old ways.
Would it be possible for the genuine Slim Shady to rise up… once more?
This past Friday, Eminem released the first song off his forthcoming 12th studio album, which is named “Houdini.” The album is titled “The De.ath of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).”
In the music video for the track, the now-51-year-old rapper makes a reference to his smash song “Without Me” from 2002. The video also depicts a version of Eminem from 2002 who travels via a portal to the present year in order to cause widespread destruction. By way of retaliation, the version of Em that exists in the present day dons his Rapboy superhero suit once again in order to engage in combat with his previous incarnation.

Even the song starts out with lyrics from one of his previous hits, which are as follows: “Guess who’s back, back again / Shady’s back, just tell a friend.” The music video features appearances from a number of famous people, including Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, comedians Shane Gillis and Pete Davidson, and several other notable individuals.
In the beginning of the song video, the rapper, who has won 15 Grammy Awards, receives a phone call from his longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg. In the call, Rosenberg expresses his disapproval of the new album. Hello, Em! It’s Paul here. It was the record that I was listening to… In the backdrop of Eminem’s bedroom, Rosenberg can be heard saying, “Good f–king luck, you’re on your own.” The noises of a creaking bed and a lady can be heard in the distance.
Afterwards, in a manner that is characteristic of Eminem, he makes reference to a number of well-known names in his lyrics.
As he makes reference to the event in which she was shot in the foot by the Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion stands front and center. In the event that I were to inquire about Megan Thee Stallion’s willingness to collaborate with me, would I truly have a chance of accomplishing something? It’s not clear what happened, but I’m happy to be back,” he sings.
In addition to calling out Rosenberg, Dr. Dre, and pretty much everyone else, he also had some harsh words for his own children. He continued to call out these individuals.
Cancel me, because what? Paul, you may now go ahead and quit. Okay, that’s all. This man cross-dresser is a snake ass prick, and you are a phony ass b-hatch. It’s likely that I’ll receive a lot of criticism for that (watch) / However, you may all suck my d–k, and in fact, you should f–k them. It’s me, it’s you, it’s me, it’s me, it’s me, and it’s Dre. As for my own children, they are spoiled brats (f–k ’em) / Everyone, including them, may go ahead and screw off (yep) / Just like RuPaul, you, Paul, have two balls that are as enormous as his.
At the beginning of this week, the rapper released a reel featuring magician David Blaine in order to promote the next track. In the video, Blaine said, “Well, for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear.” After that, earlier this month, he pretended to be Slim Shady by publishing a phony obituary in the Detroit Free Press in order to bid farewell to his alter character.
Eminem release his first album after the release of “Music to Be Murdered By” in the year 2020 with “The De.ath of Slim Shady.”
