The first reviews of the sandwich restaurant that Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have opened are now available!
Something About Her, a restaurant in Los Angeles that has not yet opened its doors, welcomed a number of notable guests on Friday, May 17. Among those who came were Andy Cohen and Stassi Schroeder, well known for her role in the television show Vanderpump Rules.
On their Instagram Stories, Schroeder, who is 35 years old, and Cohen, who is 55 years old, both chronicled their experience at the restaurant, which will open to the general public on May 22. They even provided a sample of the menu.
Cohen was heard saying, “When in Los Angeles,” as the camera pans up to the awning sign of the business, which had a yellow and white striped pattern. “I’m going to get some sandwiches, that’s for sure!”
Additionally, Schroeder showcased the adorable and quaint outside of the sandwich shop, and she discussed her favorite sandwiches that were available on the menu. These sandwiches included “The Reese,” a chicken salad creation, and “The Drew,” a baguette topped with a variety of spicy-sweet toppings, including apple, goat cheese, and jalapeño jam.
She also gave a sneak peek at further items on the menu, which includes many sandwiches that seem to be named after influential women. These sandwiches include “The Diane” and “The Kerry” as well as “The Nancy” and “The Meg.” Both a grilled cheese sandwich and a basic peanut butter and jelly sandwich are one of the other options available at this establishment.
In addition, there is a broad selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as chips and desserts, available for purchase.
Schroeder praised the restaurant, referring to it as a “Nancy Meyers movie come to life.” Madix, who is 38 years old, and Maloney, who is 37 years old, are both members of the “trailblazers” group.
The reality star stated that the new eatery owned by the couple had “the most incredible gourmet sandwiches,” and she went on to say that the “concept come to life is 😭😭😭.”
In his own writings, Cohen praised the workers at the restaurant in Los Angeles, and in particular, he praised a chef by the name of Jamie. Watch What Happens Live presenter stated that the chef “made me a GREAT chicken salad sandwich!” beside a photo of the two of them smiling together in a selfie on television.
In another part of the restaurant preview, Madix and Maloney stood for a group shot with Cohen and Schroeder. Subsequently, they took a picture with Summer House’s Lindsay Hubbard, who then posted the picture along with some kind remarks for the proprietors.
My heart is filled with pride for these young ladies! On her Instagram Stories, Hubbard, who is 37 years old, wrote. “Now that there are more sandwiches in the world, it feels like the world is finally complete!”
Madix and Maloney have continued to keep fans informed on the progress of Something on Her on Vanderpump Rules ever since they first announced their intention to open the store in 2022. This is despite the fact that there have been delays owing to challenges with obtaining permits.
The decor of the diner was described by Maloney as “California country meet European café” during an official tour of the property that was conducted earlier this year for Bravo’s official YouTube channel.
Prior to that, in May of 2023, Madix had a conversation with PEOPLE about the sources of inspiration for the titles of the sandwiches.
“I think in the same sense that the name of the sandwich shop is Something About Her, I think that the sandwiches may or may not be named after really admirable and wonderful women both in the public eye and in our personal lives,” she remarked at the time. “I think that the sandwiches do not necessarily have to be named after them.”
