After announcing his engagement to DJ Qualls, who also appeared in Supernatural, Ty Olsson is experiencing a surge of feelings of love.
Olsson, who said he is appreciative for the “love” and “kindness” given to him and his fiancé, expressed his gratitude in a post on X (which was then known as Twitter) on Thursday, May 16, the day after Qualls, who is 45 years old, disclosed the significant news about the pair.
His words were accompanied by a characteristic happy emoji, and he stated, “Thank you everyone for all the love, support, and kindness that you have shown me today.”
Another thing he said was, “Sending you all some love and hugs.”
During the episode of his Locked and Probably Loaded podcast that aired on Wednesday, May 15, Qualls said that he and Olsson’s friendship had developed into something more. Kelly Blackheart was also a guest on the program.
According to him, he and Olsson had an instant connection. He shared this information with Blackheart, who was also a co-host, saying, “Ty and I became inseparable at the very beginning, just immediately.” In addition, our relationship has developed into what it is now over the course of the last ten years, and now we are getting married.
Also during the podcast, Qualls, who played the werewolf Garth on Supernatural, revealed how he first met his fiancé, who portrayed the vampire Benny, at a convention for the CW series. Qualls was then engaged to be married to Benny.
He said that the performers “didn’t know each other at all,” and the fact that they really ran into one other at the fan gathering was not precisely the moment when sparks first flew between them.
According to his recollection, “We may have exchanged three words with each other at the Supernatural convention, and then we traveled to London for a period of four or five days after that.” “And then I was going to Turkey with a friend, and he is such a wonderful, excellent individual,” she said. During the time when we were all going out together, he approached us and said, “Would you be willing to let me accompany you on your trip?”
In addition, Qualls said, “I could never invite myself on somebody’s trip.” Qualls referred to the action made by his now-fiancé as “bad.”
The reason he proceeded was, “Because I’d be afraid that they would reluctantly tell me ‘yes,’ and then they wouldn’t want me there anyway.” “However, it was so very genuine and incredible, and it is exactly who he is. I was not familiar with him. And it was the beginning of our relationship with each other.

He continued by saying, “It’s just so crazy that this person who was just my friend, now I think about all the time and he sends the best messages, and he supports me and loves me unconditionally in the right way.” He was referring to the way in which their relationship evolved into what it is now.
Qualls further said that he believed that “unconditional love” is accompanied by the mutual understanding that “you treat that person with some respect and their best interests are your best interests.” He pointed out that Olsson’s treatment of him is evidence of this mutual understanding.
During the course of his whole life, he said, “Ty was the first person in my entire life, my entire life that I ever had that with.” “I would say that you are merely a buddy. I have never had a better friend than he is, and now we are going to spend our golden years together, which is just insane.
