At a certain point, Thomas judged that it was time to call it quits. One of the older children left home and got married.
It seemed as if the only parent was experiencing feelings of homesickness, despite the fact that the family of seven other children was there. After learning that five siblings were looking for a family, he made the decision to “come out of retirement.”
Thomas is familiar with them since he was the one who brought up the father of these children. The father did not want his children to be separated from one another and go to different homes.
