The tenth episode is being hosted by Johnson, while Timberlake is the musical guest for this show. Both of them appeared in the film “The Social Network” in the year 2010.
With a little assistance from… Sarah Sherman?! Saturday Night Live is bringing back the sexy.

The teasers for the season 49 episode of Saturday Night Live, which will air this coming weekend and include musical guest Justin Timberlake and guest host Dakota Johnson, were released on Thursday. Sherman, a cast member on Saturday Night Live, is heard saying, “I don’t know about you guys, but I’m planning something epic.” This passage is included in one of the three videos.

Johnson had no doubts about Sherman’s strategy, which prompted Sherman to answer with, “Yeah, let’s just say, Justin, you’re not going to be the only one bringing sexy back.” This was a reference to Timberlake’s hit from his album FutureSex/LoveSounds, which was released in 2006.

“Oh, my Lord. Timberlake answers, “I can’t wait to see that,” and Sherman reacts by saying, “Yeah, let’s just say it’s a sketch where our heads explode.” Timberlake’s response is followed by Sherman’s response.

Timberlake makes the statement, “I don’t think that’s what I meant.” He seems perplexed.

During the subsequent teaser, Sherman is shown putting Johnson and Timberlake in their place as she takes in “this historic” moment.

Sherman adds, “Let’s soak this in,” after Johnson has interrupted him. “Three of the hottest people in the world are on television right now at the same time.”

Timberlake is shown rushing out in pursuit of Sesame Street in the third and final teaser, with the intention of pummeling Oscar the Grouch. How come? Sherman asserts that it is due to a rejected Oscar nomination. Not the Academy Awards, but Oscar the Grouch’s refusal to go out with her on a formal date.

This will be the second time that Johnson has hosted Saturday Night Live, and it will also be the first time that Timberlake has been in Studio 8H since December of 2013. Additionally, he has previously acted as a presenter on the program five times and performed on it six times, including his initial performance with *NSYNC in March of 2000.

Additionally, Johnson and Timberlake are getting back together for the first time since they appeared in David Fincher’s film The Social Network in 2010. There is a brief but significant sequence in the movie in which Johnson and Timberlake appear together. In this scene, Johnson plays the role of Amelia Ritter, a student at Stanford University who has a romantic relationship with Sean Parker, the inventor of Napster and a future investor in Facebook. After their encounter, Parker approaches Ritter and inquires about the possibility of borrowing her laptop in order to check his e-mail. The first time Parker comes across Facebook is when she opens her laptop and makes the discovery.

Back in January 2022, Johnson disclosed to Andrew Garfield, who also participated in the film about the founding of Facebook, that Jesse Eisenberg, who played Facebook inventor Mark Zuckerberg, did not talk to her while they were working together on set. Garfield was also a part of the film.

Johnson said, “You and Jesse Eisenberg were so busy on that movie, and I was obviously in it for four seconds, but I spent a few days on set just watching.” Eisenberg and Johnson were simultaneously working on the film. “I remember sitting down with you guys one day while you were having lunch, and you asked me a lot of questions. I was very impressed.” Despite the fact that you (Andrew) were quite kind, Jesse still failed to recognize me. I believe that he was acting in character.

According to Garfield, Eisenberg may have been channeling his socially awkward role. This is something that Garfield agreed with.
