On Thursday, Pete Davidson shared the news that his family’s dog, Henry, who had lived for two years, had passed away. The eulogizing comic referred to the deceased dog as a “key member” of his household.

The information was disseminated by Davidson in the form of a message posted on the Instagram account of Dave Sirius, a writer working on Davidson’s upcoming program Bupkis.

“Hey there, folks. “I know today is the Bupkis premiere day but I want to use today to remember my dog, Henry,” he said underneath a carousel of photographs of the dog. “I wanna use today to remember my dog, Henry.” “Yesterday, one of the most important members of the Davidson family passed away. Henry was just 2 years old when regrettably, he became really ill very quickly.

“My mom, my sister, and I got Henry at the beginning of the pandemic, and he saved our lives,” Davidson wrote in her journal. “I’m not even sure whether I’d be alive if it weren’t for him. He was the kindest and happiest dog that anybody had ever had.

Davidson went into more detail about how the dog has been an important component in assisting him with his mental health. “Because I am just too frightened, I almost never let anybody witness any of my work, but I didn’t mind doing so with Henry. “He was the absolute best,” the author stated. My mother, my sister, and I are heartbroken, and we shall miss him for the rest of our lives. Henry, you have our affection. Thank you for making our lives richer and for helping me to remember what really important in this world.

On Thursday, the semi-autobiographical comedy series Bupkis, which was created by Davidson, made its debut on Peacock. Before the strike by the show’s writers forced the postponement of this weekend’s broadcast of Saturday Night Live, Davidson was also scheduled to host the show.

When ET was on the red carpet at the premiere of Bupkis a month ago, they met with Davidson’s buddy and SNL co-star, Kenan Thompson. Thompson shared with ET that he was looking forward to Davidson’s return as host of the show.

When it comes to having a former cast member of Saturday Night Live return to host the program, Thompson told ET that it’s “like a week off for us because they know how to do the show.” It is not necessary for us to personally guide them through each and every step of the process. In most cases, they also provide ideas, which means that around one-fourth of the presentation is essentially already finished. It’s going to be a relaxing and enjoyable week for us.”
