A whole new day has arrived, and with it, fresh material from Céline Dion.
The winner of the Grammy Award has released her song “Love Again” for the forthcoming film of the same name, making it her first release since disclosing that she had stiff-person syndrome. The song is included in the film.
Her team announced in an Instagram post dated April 13 that there was a “NEW TRACK ALERT!” “Available now, ‘Love Again,’ the title music from the movie, which you can purchase right here. Put these dates on your calendars: on May 5, the movie will debut in theaters, and on May 12, the whole album, which will include five new songs by Celine, will be released!
In addition to contributing music to the film, in which Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra feature, Dion also makes her acting debut in the film as the character herself. (Chopra’s spouse Nick Jonas is also scheduled to appear in the film in a cameo capacity.)
Dion said in a press release that she had a great time working on the movie. “I had a lot of fun doing this movie.” “And to have the privilege of appearing with the gorgeous and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” she said. “It is a gift that I will always remember.” I believe it to be a fantastic feel-good narrative, and I hope that people will appreciate it, as well as the new songs that have been written.”
Dion has not released any new music since the release of her 27th studio album Courage in 2019, making “Love Again” and the four other songs included in the film her first new music since then.
In addition, it comes four months after the singer of “Because You Loved Me” revealed that she had been diagnosed with the very uncommon neurological illness known as stiff-person syndrome.
“I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time,” Dion said in a video posted on December 8, adding, “and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.”
She said that the disease was responsible for her experiencing muscular spasms.
She went on to say, “Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life,” “This can sometimes make it difficult for me to walk, and it prevents me from making full use of my vocal cords when I sing,” the patient said.

The singer of “My Heart Will Go On” shared with her audience that she is being cared for by “a great team of doctors” and that her three children from her marriage to the late René Angélil—René-Charles, age 22, and the twin’s Nelson and Eddy, age 12—have been there for her during this ordeal. And Dion has acknowledged that the persistent struggles she has been having with her health are the reason why she is taking a sabbatical from her multi-decade-long singing career.
“Singing is the only thing I’ve ever known,” she said. “I’ve been doing this my whole life, and it’s the thing that I look forward to the most. I think about you all the time. I want to catch up with every one of you. Having the opportunity to perform in front of you while on stage. When I perform, you can always expect me to offer my very best. However, due to my current health situation, I am unable to provide you with that at this time. For me to be able to communicate with you once again, I have no option but to focus on taking care of my health right now. In addition, I have reason to believe that I am making progress toward my rehabilitation. This is where my attention is focused, and I am doing all in my power to become better.
