Kseniya Alexandrova, a Russian model and television personality who gained worldwide recognition after competing in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant, has died at the age of 30.

Her modeling agency, Modus Vivendis, confirmed her passing in a heartfelt Instagram statement on August 13. While the agency did not specify the cause of death, it honored her memory:

“Kseniya was radiant, talented, and incredibly kind,” the post read. “She inspired, encouraged, and brought warmth to everyone she met. To us, she will always be a symbol of beauty, kindness, and inner strength.”

Russian media later reported that Alexandrova lost her life in a devastating car crash on the M9 highway. According to her husband—who has chosen to remain anonymous—the couple’s car struck a moose that had wandered into the road, and Alexandrova suffered a fatal head injury. The two had only recently wed in March, an event she joyfully shared with her Instagram followers the following month.

Born in Moscow, Alexandrova first came to prominence in the 2017 Miss Russia pageant, where she was named first runner-up. Her success earned her the opportunity to represent Russia at Miss Universe that same year, stepping in after winner Polina Popova chose to compete in Miss World. During the competition, Alexandrova shared a message of hope and perseverance:

“I want people everywhere to believe in themselves and to always keep a dream alive,” she said in an interview. “We should stay strong, believe in ourselves, and never give up. Anything is possible in this world.”

Beyond pageantry, Alexandrova had a strong academic background. She graduated in 2016 from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a degree in finance. After her modeling career, she pursued further education and trained as a psychodrama therapist, highlighting this new path in a November 2022 Instagram post.

The Miss Universe Organization also paid tribute to her on Instagram on August 14, expressing condolences to her loved ones:

“Her grace, beauty, and spirit left a lasting impact on the Miss Universe family and all who knew her. May her memory continue to inspire strength, kindness, and love.”

Though her life ended far too soon, Alexandrova’s journey was defined by ambition, compassion, and resilience. From her early success in modeling to her later dedication to helping others through therapy, she leaves behind a legacy of both outer beauty and inner strength, reminding the world to pursue dreams with courage and heart.
