Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily, were photographed smiling and holding hands during a visit to a café in Nashville on Wednesday, May 6, shortly after the legal dispute involving Blake Lively reached a settlement.
The sighting came just two days after attorneys representing Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, and Lively’s legal team issued a joint statement confirming the case had been resolved. The lawsuit had been expected to head to trial in New York within weeks.
Baldoni, 42, and Emily, 41 — a Swedish actress — have been married since 2013 and are parents to two children, daughter Maiya Grace, 10, and son Maxwell Roland-Samuel, 8.
Speaking with Extra on May 5, Wayfarer attorney Bryan Freedman said Baldoni and fellow producer Jamie Heath were “ecstatic” about the outcome of the settlement.
While declining to discuss specific terms, Freedman shared that both men were very happy with how the matter concluded. He also emphasized that Baldoni was no longer directly involved in the lawsuit by the time settlement negotiations began.
“Justin Baldoni is not a party,” Freedman explained, adding that Baldoni viewed the agreement as a reasonable resolution to a case he had already stepped away from.
On May 7, Lively’s attorneys described the settlement as a “resounding victory” for the actress after official documents were filed in federal court in New York. Freedman, meanwhile, referred to the outcome as a “total victory” for Wayfarer and Baldoni.
In a joint statement released May 4, attorneys for both sides said It Ends with Us remains “a source of pride” for everyone involved in bringing the project to life. Although the settlement terms were not made public, the statement emphasized a shared commitment to supporting domestic violence survivors and fostering respectful, professional workplaces.
The statement also acknowledged that concerns raised by Lively deserved attention and expressed hope that the resolution would allow everyone involved to move forward peacefully, including promoting a more respectful online environment.
