A mother from Kentucky believes she witnessed something extraordinary in an ultrasound image of her unborn baby — what she describes as the “hand of God” gently holding her child’s head.

Back in April 2022, Amanda Foster shared an ultrasound on Facebook with encouraging news: her baby boy, Jay, showed no signs of Potter syndrome, a rare and often life-threatening condition that had deeply affected her past. Years earlier, she had lost her first son during pregnancy, which led to grief and anger, especially after being told it was unlikely she would have a healthy baby boy.

Despite that, Amanda and her husband later welcomed two daughters and then a healthy son. Now pregnant again with another boy, Kyler, she faced new fears when doctors detected a serious heart defect early on.

As part of her high-risk pregnancy, Amanda says she regularly prayed before each ultrasound, asking for protection over her baby. During one recent scan, her daughter noticed something unusual in the image — what appeared to be a large hand-shaped form near the baby’s head. Amanda interpreted this as a divine sign, saying it moved her to tears and strengthened her faith.

In a later update, she shared that her pregnancy was progressing well, with her baby developing strongly and even measuring ahead of schedule.

For Amanda, the ultrasound image holds deep personal meaning — symbolizing hope, healing, and faith after years of loss and uncertainty.
