Annabel Schofield, the Welsh-born supermodel and actress known for her role on Dallas, has passed away at 62 following a battle with brain cancer.

She died on February 28 in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After her diagnosis, Schofield kept supporters updated through a GoFundMe page created to help cover medical expenses. In her final update on January 18, she revealed she had undergone emergency surgery to remove a mass from her nasal cavity.

Born on September 4, 1963, in Llanelli, Wales, Schofield was the daughter of British film production executive John D. Schofield, who contributed to major films including Jerry Maguire and As Good As It Gets.

She later moved to London to pursue modeling and went on to grace the covers of numerous fashion magazines, including Vogue Germany and Vogue Italia.

Melissa Richardson, owner of London’s Take Two Agency, which represented Schofield early in her career, credited her as a key figure in the agency’s growth. Richardson remembered her as genuine, loyal, and exceptionally talented, saying she remained the same warm and grounded person throughout her life.

Schofield also modeled for major brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, Rimmel, and Revlon*. A late-1980s commercial for Bugle Boy jeans, in which she delivered a memorable line while driving a sports car, became especially well known.

At the height of her modeling success, she relocated to Los Angeles and secured a recurring role on Dallas. During the show’s 11th season, she portrayed Laurel Ellis in 12 episodes opposite Larry Hagman’s iconic character, J.R. Ewing.

Beyond television, Schofield appeared in films such as Eye of the Widow and later worked behind the scenes on projects including The Brothers Grimm, Doom, and City of Ember.

In her later years, she launched her own production company, Bella Bene Productions, producing commercials and fashion-related projects. In 2013, she authored a novel titled The Cherry Alignment, drawing inspiration from her experiences in the modeling and entertainment industries during the 1980s.

She is survived by her mother. Her father and sister, Amanda Schofield, preceded her in death.
