The feud between the former U.S. president and the Swedish climate activist reignited after Thunberg was detained and deported from Israel, along with over 100 other activists, for taking part in the Global Sumud Flotilla — a convoy of boats trying to reach Gaza to protest the blockade.

Following her deportation, Trump dismissed Thunberg as a “troublemaker” and questioned why she seemed “so angry” for someone her age. He went on to claim she had “anger management problems” and suggested she “should see a doctor.”

“She’s no longer focused on the environment — just causing trouble,” Trump said. “She’s so angry, so crazy. Definitely a troublemaker.”

Thunberg didn’t let the remark slide. Responding on Instagram, she wrote sarcastically:
“I heard Donald Trump has once again shared his very flattering thoughts about me, and I truly appreciate his concern for my mental health.”

She then added a sharp jab:
“To Trump — I’d gladly take any advice you have on handling so-called ‘anger management issues,’ since, judging by your own impressive record, you seem to struggle with them yourself.”
